My eyes are super swollen on this chilly Friday morning. "How come?" you thoughtful inquire.
Well, let me tell you. I cried for 2 1/2 hours last night. No, not because I had the most craptastic day ever.
It's because I went to see the best movie ever..."Les Miserables."
I know what you're thinking. I was thinking the same thing. How can I sit for 2.5 hrs of singing by actors and actresses who aren't professional singers trying to recreate one of the most amazing Broadway musicals ever.
Well, it's better than the Broadway (gasp, shudder, cringe, yes I said a movie was better than Broadway).
It's going down in my "best movie ever" hall of fame. I want to see it again. The woman next to us said that it was her second time
crying through seeing it, and she loved it even more the second time.
If "Les Mis" doesn't win EVERY SINGLE OSCAR, then the Academy has certainly lost its mind! Go see it before Sunday the 24th so you can be cheering along with me!
I give it a 2 thumbs up, 10 stars, 4 tissue (I'm not exaggerating, I actually used 4 paper towels so that's probably equal to 8 kleenexes) rating!
Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman gave performances of a lifetime. Ahem...Oscars.
I'm looking at Amanda Seyfried in a whole new light now. She is beyond gorgeous and wow, that girl can sing!
One of my favorite parts was the comic relief provided by the crazy, talented, inappropriate Sasha Baron Cohen. Man, that guy is nuts! I was craughing (crying + laughing) my butt off thanks to him.
Last but not least, they highlighted one of my favorite quotes from the play "To Love Another Person Is To See the Face of God."
